In the "TWILIGHT" zone

So my sister Stephanie and I went to the midnight showing of Twilight. Yeah, we were crazy. That was the first midnight movie I had been too. Later that night at 8:30 pm we went again with a bunch of friends which was a blast! I had anticipated this movie so much, you can say that I was obsessed. I read pretty much everything and watched everything there could be. Heck, I even bought a book that was specifically about the movie.

Dislikes:
At first I wasn't too sure about the movie. It seemed choppy to me and everything moved at light speed including the budding relationship between Edward and Bella. The forest seen was kind-of corny! It wasn't the sappy, romantic, chick-flick that I was expecting or used to.

Likes:
I think the characters were genuis in playing their roles. I loved the humor that was involved including Edward making funny comments. Loved the scene where Bella is in Port Angeles, she's leaving the bookstore, being harrassed by perverts, and then around the corner comes beautiful Edward. Ahhh, one day....one day.

Overall I loved the movie. I'm not much of a movie critic because I can like the worst made movies. But seeing it the second time really made me love it more. Can't wait to see it again!

Need a Massage?

This little girl likes massages.
She literally sat on the floor for 10 minutes,
with this same expression.
I scratched her back and arms and which actually
laid the foundation for a mid-day nap!
In my family, we take turns: called the Back-Scratching Train.
So when she gets old enough, she owes me 10 minutes.

My Trip to Alabama 11.5.08-11.10.08

Well this was my 3rd and final time visiting Alabama. My sister, brother-in-law Mark, and Abrielle are moving back and should be back in a week. It was a bitter-sweet trip: Wonderful to leave Utah and visit the "outside" world, and sad that I probably won't go back. But I will always be grateful for the kindness I observed from people that live in and around Fort Rucker. Thank You for taking such good care of my family! Roll Tide, Roll!

Abrielle loves to read books! She can look at one book for a long time without getting sick of it. She likes to hear them read to her as well.

I know, BEST AUNT EVER!!! I'm really good at putting children to sleep when it's bedtime. The only problem, I don't want to lay them down. I'd much rather hold her.

She can make quite the silly faces including the infamous Hunt "Lip Snarl". Ask one of us if you've never seen it.

I bought her Cookie Monster. Would you know it, she wants to eat his eyes, not his cookies!

She loves to sit up now. She gets this cute little grin on her face like "I know, I rock!" Sometimes if she gets a little off balance, she'll crash backwards, so my sister learned to start putting a littl pillow right behind her, just in case.

Halloween!

Every year at work, we have a Halloween Costume Party. Most of dress up with the exception of a few that don't. The ones that do have a much more fun experience! This year, the Business Office (including myself) decided to have a super secret costume...the Presidential Candidates and their running mates. We had so much fun with it. We all had badges that said who were and a funny quote from each. I was Sarah Palin-cause I can see Russia from my house. Rachel was John McCain-cause my friends, I am a Maverick. Ryann was Joe Biden-cause McCain is NOT a Maverick. And Ituau was Barrack Obama-cause he's friends with terrorists.

We had a blast as you can see! Me and Rachel as running mates.

Just chillin eating lunch.

Chick Magnets: these two say they didn't plan on coming to work as the same thing! Wayne, in your dreams.

Linda as Sarah Palin as well and Michelle as the Grim Reaper...pretty freaky!

Yikes! Good thing she wasn't working that day because all the kids would have nightmares. Even more than her usual scrubs.

Brian-my boss. He was voted Most Likely "Not to Bring Home To Meet Mom".

Just getting some food. Tess worked up a sweat and had to eat up on calories.

The 80's Divas: Rebecca, Niari, Mekael, and Brittany. Love the gold leggings Mekael.

Pregnant mom Niari getting getting some leg action.

Jean-what a devil.

Heidi and her sister Tanya as witches. I really like the hat...a lot.

Mekael pretending to work amoungst the Halloween bliss.

Brittany and my same camera. I must say that is her color of blush!

Debbie wearing an old OR uniform that they used to wear back in the day. And Tess with her, believe it or not, homemade costume.

Myself and my oponnent Biden (Ryann)

And of course, couldn't do without the other two Obama and McCain (Ituau & Rachel)

Group Picture because we rock!

Just a little info...

What Was I Doing 10 Years Ago:
-Wow, I was 16 then. I remember that Sophmore year in High School was not a great experience for me. Towards the begining and middle of the year, I started getting anxiety and panic attacks and could not go to school...it was that bad. I remember going to a doctor to find out what the heck was wrong with me. And then I started to get better! The cure: minty gum. Yep, I know that sounds crazy, but I had to chew minty gum everywhere I went. For some reason it helped calm me down. Funny that to this day, I tend to have minty gum available in my car, purse, rooms, work, etc...never leave home without it!

5 Things On My To Do List (not in any particular order):
1. Visit Scotland
2. Travel the world
3. Buy a home
4. Get married & have a family
5. Lose weight

5 Favorite Snacks:
1. Cadbury Mini Eggs
2. Crasins with dried apples

2. Gordon's CopyPrint
3. MountainWest Surgical Center
4. ZCMI

5 Things I Would Do With A Million Dollars:
1. I'd buy me a modest home. Not a mansion, more like a cute cottage. I would also completely love to remodel it and make it my own.
2. I'd pay off my parents cars, home, and any credit cards.
3. Buy my grandma a maid service.
4. Help my sister Natalie with a nice sized downpayment on her soon-to-be house.
5. Travel, travel, travel

5 Things that made me laugh this week:
1. Seeing a picture of my cute niece as a co-pilot of a Blackhawk Helicopter. The grin on her face is hillarious.
2. Re-watching clips of Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin.
3. Hanging out with my family friend Iris Hubsmith. She's freakin' funny!
4. Making fun of stupid single men with some good friends of mine.
5. My sisters, Mark (bro-in-law), Natalie, and Abrielle made this crack-a-lackin movie called the Krew IV. Now my family can get pretty wacky and we have "produced" 3 other Krew movies. Basically it's us lipsynching to our favorite movies. You know those movies that you get your favorite one-liners from? That's us! And this movie includes my niece, Abrielle, who mind you, is only 7 months old. You can imagine....

Busy Sunday!

Yesterday was quite the busy day for me. After Relief Soceity, I had to meet with Brother Hendricks, 2nd counselor in my bishopric. I knew that I would most likely be released from my Sunday School calling (12 & 13 year olds). And sure enough, that's the main reason I had to meet with him. So unfortunately my last lesson will be next week. I was really sad that they didn't let me stay in till the end of the year, because I've had these 13 kids in my class since the begining of the year and I consider them "my kids."

After releasing me from Sunday School, Brother Hendricks then proceeded to ask me if I would speak next sunday. Of course, release me from the calling I love, and then asking me to speak-how rude. I actually do like to speak. I especially love the preparation it takes.

Right after that meeting, the Stake YW's presidency had a training meeting with President Robbins (2nd counselor in my stake). He's such a great teacher/mentor and I throughly enjoy listening and learning from him. That meeting went on for about 2 1/2 hours. After that, I was able to go home for about an hour which I was grateful for since it was fast sunday and I was starving after a full day of meetings! I got to lay down for about 15 minutes before I had to get dressed again and go to my first Temple Prep class which I was anticipating the whole day.

After my training meeting, I had this overwhelming feeling of how inadequate I am. I just felt like I don't know enough, I don't study enough, I don't know if I'm worthy enough. All of these things kept running through my head. After going to Temple Prep with my awesome neighbors, the Burninghams, I brought that up. Am I reading my scriptures regularly, and I praying enough in order to enter the Temple. Ann Burningham brought up a good point to me: she said that if we weren't worthy to enter the Temple, the Bishop would not have allowed me to go to these classes, I wouldn't have had the intense desire to go. It reassured me that I'm not perfect and neither are the people that attend the Temple.

Lately I've been having these feelings of "I'm not good enough let alone, worthy enough." I sure it's just a natural human feeling that everyone has to experience every now and then. It just seems like everything is changing around me and I can't stop thinking about that. I also need to get a grip and realize that Satan does and will continue to do that to me. Life-it happens!

Period Men...no not "that time of the month men"

So my good friend Jenni Hamblin sent this to me from You Tube. It depicts the perfect men in all of my most favorite movies. If any of you know men like these that are single and available, please have them stop by my house!

Guess who is out of credit card debt? Finally after a long, panstakingly hard 9 months, I'm free!!! Of course it didn't come easy. I have been working 2 jobs almost 5 days a week. On top of that doing hair appointments almost every Saturday. So I'm breathing a little easier today because I don't have my head in the guillotine anymore.

To celebrate, I bought myself a new camera. And no, not on credit. My other camera has hit the dust therefore, no pictures for a while. I'm excited to get it: it's a Nikon D40. It's not a professionals camera but more than just a fit-in-my-pocket camera. I'm hoping to get it before the leaves start changing.

Ikea rocks!

So I went to Ikea Saturday afternoon and bought some much needed shelves for my room. I've been running out of space and so I needed something a little larger to cover my needs. Of course Ikea always come through for those desperate decorating times. For those of you who have never seen my room before, just know that the 2 big, dark shelving units are new, and my bed was in there place. Oh and I got this really cool reading lamp as well. It's really really bright! Great for those late night reads!!!

Isn't she lovely?

Natalie says she is trying to make her daughter be photogenic instead of shying away from the camera. I think it's working! This was taken today...Labor Day!

I'm going there someday...sooner, than later!

So my bishop came up to me last Sunday and asked if he could meet with me. I said sure! We set the date for Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 at 6:30 pm. Of course things were going through my mind such as: release of my Sunday School calling or possibly Choir Director, since we haven't had a Choir Director for over a year. I thought to myself and told my close friends that if I get called to Choir, I'll just come right out and tell him that "I quit the church!"
It started off as just small talk-the usual talking about life, how is life, what are you up to? He then proceeded to tell me that he's had some impressions on several occasions that I should start preparing to enter the Temple.
I was a little taken back, because I was expecting the worst (Choir) and instead it was something 200% better than that. I decided then and there that I was going to start to prepare for this. He then told me that there are Temple Prep classes that you can take, which obviously I would. The next class should start in approximately a month or so.

He also gave me a book to read: "The blessings of the Holy Temple" by Boyd K. Packer. I started reading it that very night. I was intrigued by some of the things I read. He strictly mentions that he is not imposing on the sacred ceremonies and will not go into any detail about them that has not been mentioned by the Church. I've always been interested in other cultures and their customs or ceremonies. Not only that but I've heard from many people that when you go for the first time that it's strange or foreign. Since I've heard that so many times, I feel that these ceremonies which I am about to embark upon, are not strange or foreign, but sacred. My thoughts have changed. My life has changed. Everything I say and do effects my worthiness and I never really, really thought about that. But now with the Temple being my specific goal right now, it's amazing how those things in my life either are meaningless, or more meaninful than ever.

So in about 3-4 months, I will enter the Temple for the first time. Not as a youth doing baptisms for the dead for mutual, but as a growing woman doing what I feel is right at this time and enjoying the blessing of the Temple.

Tim McGraw '08

USANA Ampitheater

This year I dragged my sister Stephanie, Aunt Elna, and friend (Mark's sister) Laura with me to Tim McGraw at the USANA Ampitheater. It was freakin' awesome! We sung and danced the night away. And Tim McGraw is still as hot as ever...just has to keep the cowboy hat on! Yee Haw!!!
